On Wednesday, November 15, 2018 registration opens for our traditional classroom course.
In this course students will learn principles of medical coding related to the three main code books: CPT® , ICD-10- CM Code Set and HCPCS Level II. This course is recommended for anyone who is preparing for a career in medical coding for a physician’s office and strongly recommended for anyone who is preparing for AAPC’s CPC certification examination.
Our course is 16 weeks (4 months) long; meeting one night a week for 3 hours. Students should expect to allow for a minimum of 4 hrs per week of personal study time outside of the classroom. The instructional methods used include reading assignments, practice exercises and other assignments, audio/video lectures, chapter review exams, and a final exam. To receive a certificate of completion, students must successfully complete the course with a 70% or higher on all chapter exams and the course final exam.
Courses are taught by AAPC Licensed Instructor, Jennifer Simmons, MBA, CPC, CPC-I. Jennifer brings 20 years of healthcare management, compliance and coding experience. She also has been trained in the Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC).
